The Sunrise camel ride in Merzouga dunes begins early in the morning. It takes approximately half an hour to reach the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi on a camel. We leave the camels to reach the highest dune of Merzouga.

This is your last opportunity to try crossing over the golden sand dunes on the back of a camel to deep in the heart of the desert to see the surprisingly beautiful Sand dunes with their playful fusion of light and shadow, during the color parts of the mornings at the sunrise.
A fabulous view of the sun rising over the desert dunes are some of the memories you will cherish from your Morocco Tour. Our Merzouga sunrise camel ride starts in the early mourning, we will meet you at our hotel or in front of your riad or hotel in the desert at least one hour before the sunrise.
Depending on the sunrise and our appointment timing, depart for a thrilling desert camel ride over the orange sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. Arrive at the place where we usually leave the camels, to raise approximately 80 meters up to the highest dune of Erg Chebbi.
For those who prefer having a panoramic sight of the putting sun, they will have to climb up to the top of the dunes what suppose approximately 15 minutes more of increase; those who prefer remaining below will be able to enjoy the putting sun in the local surroundings where we leave the camels.

The Sunset Camel Ride in Merzouga takes about an hour and a half (1h 30min), including a stop for watching Sunset and enjoying Sandboarding (if it is an activity you are interested in).

Camel ride and watch the sunrise moment
We had the camel ride after the 4x4 wheel drops us to the edge of the desert, and the camel rides us to one of the high sand dunes before the sunrise moment. Be there waiting for the skyline to slowly change the color and watch the unique sunrise moment with my loved one. That moment will be remembered for a lifetime.
After that, we use the same camel ride back to the station close to the desert edge and change back the 4x4 wheel back to the hotel we stay.
I didn't get a chance to spend a night in a desert camp, I think those who had time may consider a stay in a desert camp, so you can have a sunrise moment and a full skyline of the night star experience as well.

What an incredible ride throughout the desert on camel nighttime and at sunrise. Incredible adventure but after this camel ride tour, we had enough of this ride.
It was worth it though. Once in a lifetime adventure.
