Morning Departure from Fes

We’ll begin the day early from your hotel or riad in Fes. After meeting your driver-guide, you’ll set out on a scenic drive through northern Morocco’s beautiful countryside and the Rif Mountains.

Drive Through the Rif Mountains

As we climb into the Rif range, you’ll notice the air turning crisp and the views expanding. We’ll make time to stop at a few viewpoints so you can take in the vast landscapes and snap some memorable photos.

Explore the Blue-Washed Medina of Chefchaouen

Once we arrive in Chefchaouen, you’ll step straight into a world of color. The medina is a masterpiece with narrow streets painted in calming shades of blue, whitewashed walls, and bursts of flowers at every turn.

Walk through the labyrinth of lanes where you’ll find small artisan shops, bakeries, and cafes. Your guide will highlight the local traditions and show you the best photo spots along the way.

Pause at Plaza Uta El-Hammam

At the heart of the medina is Plaza Uta El-Hammam, the town’s main square and meeting point. We’ll take a break where locals gather, lined with cafes and surrounded by historic buildings.

Feel free to grab a mint tea, enjoy a traditional lunch, or simply people-watch against a backdrop of the Rif Mountains.

Discover the Kasbah Museum

Right next to the square sits Chefchaouen’s 15th-century Kasbah. We’ll guide you through this quiet fortress, with its terracotta towers and peaceful Andalusian garden.

Inside, you’ll find a small ethnographic museum showcasing the region’s culture, clothing, and history.

See the Grande Mosque

While non-Muslims cannot enter the mosque, anyone can still get a close-up look at its unique octagonal minaret, unlike any other in Morocco. Built in the 15th century, the Grande Mosque is one of Chefchaouen’s key landmarks and stands on the edge of the main square.

Late Afternoon Drive Back to Fes

After a relaxed afternoon wandering the medina, capturing photos, and maybe picking up a few souvenirs, we’ll regroup for our drive back to Fes. You can enjoy the beautiful views once again while we drive back.

We’ll drop you off at your accommodation in the early evening, ending a full day of discovery.
