3 Day Tour From Marrakech To Merzouga Desert Reviews
3 days trips Marrakech to Merzouga
We had a 3 days desert trip to Merzouga from Marrakech. We decided to do the private tour, instaed of group tour because, we were first time travellers and did not want to be rushed. We were picked up by our lovely guide from hotel. We crossed High Atlas Mountains to Ait ben haddou kasbah, UNESCO world heritage site. It was amazing place to see along the way to Sahara desert. The guide at the beginning was very informative. He is also extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his country and we have come away with a much deeper understanding and appreciation of Moroccan culture and history. We also had our camel ride through the Erg Chebbi dunes of Merzouga, together with our camel shepherd Med. The food is amazing, the colors of the landscape, the towns, the food, the art work, the desert the sky everything is just breathtaking (especially the Sahara!). The camel ride and the sandboarding in the dunes, flawless!
Marrakech to Merzouga - 3 days 2 nights - Best part of our holiday in Morocco
My friend and I went on the 3 day desert tour from Marrakech; we were picked up from our riad by Mohammed in his spotless 4WD. We can honestly say that this tour was the highlight of our 10 night stay in Morocco; seeing the Todra Gorge and of course staying the night in the desert with Berber food and music being particularly special. On the second day, we were able to leave most of our things at a hotel (so that we wouldn't have to take it all with us to the desert); this hotel, as well as the first hotel, are very well equipped and great for relaxing in after a long day.

We used this company for 3 days desert trip from Marrakech to Merzouga desert - Erg Chebbi dunes. Our Driver/guide picked up at 08:00 and took good care of us, giving his best to show us the authentic Morocco. On the way, we drove through the High Atlas Mountains with its spectacular N Tichka Pass (2260 m). We had several stops on the way to Dades valley through the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou Kasr, the Roses valley, Skoura village and the road of thousand Kasbahs provides numerous photo opportunities.
Three days tour from marrakech to Merzouga
We had a wonderfull 3 day trip to Merzouga with driver Hamid. All my compliments and recommendations for him. He was a friendly careful driver. We would love to have more time in the Sahara. But the camel ride and the stars and moon were amazing. The last Day drive back to marrakech is a long one.

3 Day/2Nights desert Tour From Marrakech To Merzouga
3 day deser tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Sahara desert; Merzouga is a small town out on the edge of the Sahara Desert of Erg Chebbi. Merzouga is only 20 km away from Algerian border where the paved road ends and the real Sahara Desert sand dunes begin. Merzouga desert is the most common destination in Morocco for Camel treks and desert camps. To experience the Sahara desert dunes it is a must to take a camel trip and stay overnight in a berber tent or in a luxury camp.
The camel trip takes approximately 1h 30min through amazing red-orange sand dunes at sunset to reach the sahara desert camp where you will be served wonderful and rich dinner, enjoy a musical play with the staff around blazing fire. But note it is at least a 8 hours drive from the erg chebbi dunes to Marrakech. The trip is possible in 3 days Marrakech desert tour however we recommend a slow pace over 4 or 5 days.
